Top 5 Classy N’Chic Women

Hello to all my classy n’chic individuals.

In my first post, I vaguely defined what it means to be both classy n’chic. For this second post, I would like to list my Top 5 examples of the women whom I have tremendous respect and whom I aspired to become more like in one way or another. Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it… So without further adieu….

#5 Gabrielle Bonheur

Aka Coco Chanel. Ms Bonheur was a French fashion designer, businesswoman, founder and namesake of the Chanel brand. This woman’s genius and practicality allowed women to dress comfortably and look amazing, which was unheard of in her day. Prior to Chanel, women were walking around sucked in and barely able to breathe all in the name of femininity. Her belief was fashionable, yet comfortable and practical.  I give a salute to you, Ms Chanel, for going against what was popular at the time and being true to you. What is more classy than that?

#4 Jacqueline Lee “Jackie” Kennedy Onassis

Mrs Kennedy was FLOTUS from 1961 until President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. While it was nothing new to raise children, she did so while also looking the part of her new title from day one. Although Jaqueline Kennedy was a fashion icon, she made this list because she was able to navigate the FLOTUS position under the ugly eye and hammer of America during a time when the landscape of The Civil Rights Movement was starting to bloom for some and become doom for she and her family. To be more clear, she had the task of being a wife, then widow, to very Polarized President while trying to keep her children safe from those whom she knew pretended to be allies when they were in fact enemies. Ms Kennedy Onassis, you will always be remembered for courageous suffering through your husband’s ultimate sacrifice for what he believed. Courage is not absence of fear, but moving past that fear to progress.

#3 Oprah Gail Winfrey

American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, philanthropist and first self-made woman billionaire. How many of us came from nowheresville, lived through “family secrets”, allowed others to treat us in ways we look back on and ROLL OUR DAMN EYES? We all have right!!! But, how many of us went through all of those things and found a way to become not only a billionaire… but a black woman that did not compromise who she was to get it. No sex scandals, no baby daddies, no baby mamma, no family/friend drama, no tax evasions, no criminal convictions, no Love and Oprah or Real House Whoevers of Oprah…calm down, I couldn’t resist…lol. My favorite and most admired thing Oprah did was not allow anyone to define her. She could have easily been married to the love of her life and no doubt felt a crazy amount of pressure to do it, but instead, she did it when she knew her wisdom was guiding her, not her feelings. If we learn to practice patience until we are wise enough to know what is right, instead of talking ourselves or allowing others to talk us into what FEELS good, mental illness, drug abuse and the overall state of American society would reflect a much brighter future.

#2  Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu

Aka Mother Teresa MC, known in the Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary. This woman’s mission was to make sure individuals, no matter the circumstances of their life, had someone to love them when they were leaving this side of life. Ms Bojaxhiu had the kind of compassion that all humanity needs to acquire if we are going to exist together.

#1 Mrs Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama ‘aka’ First Lady of Humanity

FLOTUS from 2009 until 2017, American lawyer and writer. While the title of First Lady of the United States comes and go..You will ALWAYS be First Lady of HUMANITY. Mrs Obama understood and acted accordingly  in knowing that she shared in the representation of the most prestigious position in the United States and arguably  the world. While I could go on… and on… and on about all of the obstacles this woman has overcome both personally and professionally. I would simply like to  THANK YOU for serving as the best example of what a smart, beautiful, strategically superior in everything you do, classy n’oh so chic individual should aspire to.

There is so much more to all of these ladies and I have enjoyed sharing my Top 5 Classy N’Chic ladies. I would love to know what you thought of this list and/or who you would have added. Please feel free to reply in the comments section below.
